We woke up and the first thing that took place was a crazy video shoot (for the videographer) that involved all kinds of silly setups.
There were like 4 video guys. And they had even hired an assistant to be on-hand to do random things...like toss flower petals from a tree...
Or hold an umbrella...
There was a cool underwater pool scene as well. (That dude in the water is holding an underwater camera.)
I saw a sneak preview...and I think the video is going to be awesome.
For TL's wedding day she received a bunch of new bling-pieces.
Some sparkly new Jimmy Choos...
A gorgeous new diamond necklace with a 3-karat yellow diamond center stone... (Cue Rihanna singing, "YELLOW DIAMONDS IN THE LIGHT....")
With matching earrings...
So pretty...
The entire venue looked f*cking spectacular...
The guests weren't so bad either. (I introduced TL to TL a couple of years ago in HK and now they are besties.)
It actually was unbearably hot. I don't know how these boys were able to wear suits. But they sure look good!
Wedding Time!
During the ceremony I was sprinting from place to place to cover all angles (usually I have a helper, but not in Thailand), and it was HOT AS HELL and I have never sweated as much as I did this day.
It was a perfect setting though...
Married! Yay!!!
After the ceremony, day turned to dusk. And the Villa was illuminated fantastically.
We welcomed TL and Mark into their first dance with sparklers...
Which led to food.
Oh the food. It was so good.
We started with a trio of soups. I am stealing this idea, because who really wants to eat an entire bowl of soup? Soup samplers is just brilliant. Our soups were a lobster/vanilla bisque, a mushroom/truffly thing, and a spicy corn chowder. They were all AWESOME.
Then came a trio of appetizers. Scallops, Hams, and something else I don't remember but was delicious.
Then there was this palate cleanser sorbet thingy that was actually kind of disgusting. Literally everyone at my table took a bite, made a weird face, put their spoon back, and then pushed it far away from them.
The main pork course though was delicious. MMMM PORK.
After pork came speeches...
And after speeches came lanterns...
Which were breathtaking...I've always wanted to do lanterns!!!
Then Teresa danced with her daddy...
And near the end of their dance, he dipped her... and a perfectly-timed explosion lit up the sky... kicking off an EPIC firework show synced to the tune of Kanye and Jay-Z singing "N*ggas in Paris"...
It was SO FRICKIN COOL.
As I stated before, it was HOT. All the "adults" were smart to sit inside in the air-conditioned lounge. They stayed there most of the night.
Everyone else partied by the pool as a band came on played lots of great covers.
It was soooooo fun.
At one point TL even took over the mic and sang a very well-received rendition of "Call Me Maybe"...
YAY!!!
There was a pool. And it was hot...so of course people started jumping in...
Gratuitous shirtless TimLoh shot.
(Sorry TimLoh.) (You're welcome, everyone else.)
The band went until 1am. Then came the DJ.
It was SO MUCH FUN. I took like 5,000 photos.
We were up until 4am. At least.
LOVE a secluded mansion-villa and renting out all the neighboring mansion-villas so there can be no noise complaints!
Congrats TL and Mark!
Thank you for inviting me to capture your day! (And thank you also for the free and epic trip, obviously.)
Best. Job. Ever!!!
(Sorry everyone for some of the weird spacing and formatting. I can't figure out Blogger's new interface and it's driving me NUTS.)
