Almost Famous!

I was at a randomly at the piano bar Duplex last night in the West Village grabbing a drink before heading to Priya's for a group viewing of The Bachelor and was wearing my favorite Brown hoodie...



When a cute gay came up to me and said, "Hi! I went to Brown. I saw your sweatshirt and just had to come over and say hi."

So I was like "Hey, I'm Dennis."

And he was like, "Hi! I'm Brandon."

So I was like, "What year were you?"

He was like, "Oh I'm '09"

And I'm like, "Oh you're like a baby. I'm '04."

And he was like, "Cool!"

And I was like, "Cool."

(Pause. Pause. Random small talk. Pause.)

And then I was like, "So what did you study?"

And he was like, "Oh, random stuff, and a lot of musical theater."

So I was like, "Oh, so you're an actor?"

And he was like, "Yeah!"

And I was like, "Cool I do actor headshots."

And he was like, "Wait...what's your last name?"

And I'm like, "...Kwan?"

And he was like, "OH MY GOD YOU'RE DENNIS KWAN?!!?!??!"

And then he showered me with compliments about how I've done a bunch of his friends headshots and how he loves my stuff and basically made my day.

This has only happened to me one other time and it was at a party at Imran's apartment in LA years ago. Felt awesome that time too though.

I guess it's not that weird because Brown is a pretty small place.

But whatever. I think I might track this boy down on FB and give him free headshots.
