Barcelona EatParty

After the Sagrada Familia, it was time to eat.

We had gotten lots of recommendations from friends who had been to Barcelona before, and one that was unanimously agreed upon was Quimet & Quimet.

They serve unique Spanish tapas-y thing, mostly made of different seafoods. Not really my scene...but I could see why peeps would love it.

Here was this Salmon Honey Crusty Toast thing...

We ordered all kinds of weird isht... with Cava obviously...

Mmmmm caviars....

Oh also there was this Alcoholic Walnut on Brie thing that was interesting...

We then went sightseeing. This is some mansion of some dude. I think it was the palace of that Guell dude that everything in Barcelona is named after. It was also designed by Gaudi. (Who designed the Sagrada Familia and every other building of note in Barcelona.)

The intricate gold detail of everything was purty. And then my camera ran out of battery so no more pictures until that evening.

At night we received a restaurant recommendation and we went to neighborhood spot La Pepita, which specializes in Tapas as well as pepitas, this little flat delicious sandwich thingys...

The food here was incredible. And not that expensive. We came here like three times.

Chicken....

Roasted Artichokes covered in Pork Belly...

Croquetas filled with meats, chickens, creamed cod... they were all SO GOOD.

This...the Very Important Croqueta (that is actually what is was called). It was SO delicious.

Lamb skewer on barley...

Shramp heads...

These were the pepitas...

There was a funny moment where we ordered 4 pepitas (they all sounded so good) and the waiter asked us multiple times, "4 pepitas... 3 people?" and we were like yes, "4 pepitas"... and he was like, "for 3 people???" And we were like "Yes. 4 Pepitas. 3 People." And he couldn't wrap his head around it.

We are obese.

OMG this chocolate dessert thing.

Heaven.
