Melanie's Birthday

Melanie celebrated her 20-somethingth birthday the other night at Antibes Bistro in the Lower East Side. She had a special little menu with place settings all set up for her guests.

(Most of whom were pretty fellow glamazons who clearly subsist on a diet of tic tacs and lemons.)

We started with a delicious Poached Pear and Goat Cheese Salad.

There was plenty of wines which Goon and DK2 clearly enjoy.

And some chickenmeats.

Joyous birthday fun.

A little drunk.

A little meatsweatty.

And a cake.

And another weird sugarcane-y dessert.

Love the Kaminski klan.

After dinner we met up with Melanie's friend Jason who looks like Ryan Seacrest and is the new manager of the Co-Op at the Rivington Hotel.

He hooked us up with three platters of food. Below is just one of them. Sushi rolls, blue cheese fries, okra, and some little meatsticks. I was in heaven. Especially because no one else was eating.

And more cake with fire.

And bottles and bottles of Gooseliquor.

Blackout. The End.

Happy Birthday Mel!

Barrington Reunion!

My childhood friend JennySaunders who I haven't seen in years got married this weekend in Boston and I was the photographer.

All of her bridesmaids and many of her guests were people I knew growing up.

I caught this incredible reflection shot in a glass door when I was trying to take a picture of JenMcGovern getting her makeup done.

Seesters!

The wedding was at the Brookline Country Club, supposedly the very first country club in America.

It was kind of fancy. They made me wear a loaner blazer and change out of my sneakers because they have a stupid dress code. Lame.

It was really neat to be there because a bunch of these people I haven't seen in over a decade and some of these girls were the most popular pretty girls in school when we were like 2nd-9th graders.

As a reminder, this is what I used to look like while these girls were ruling the halls of Nayatt Elementary and Barrington Middle School...

Needless to say, we were not all best friends...

Thankfully, we lived in one of the prettiest houses in town, so I was able to save myself from being a complete social outcast by throwing a couple awful "dance parties" in my basement..

Most of the time, though, I preferred to hide out in that room that is the second window from the left (in the above picture) playing really geeky computer games and prowling AOL chatrooms to trick other idiot kids out of their passwords so that I could steal their internet time. (Remember back when we had to pay by the HOUR?)

These girls still look just as pretty as I remember!

There were a couple nice-looking boys as well.

Congrats Jenny!

Lovely to see all the Barrington babes!

Peter & Michelle's Wedding / New York Times

Two weddings in a row!

You may remember a few weeks ago Molly & John were featured in the New York Times...

Well yesterday, Michelle and Peter were as well!

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/11/fashion/weddings/michelle-guest-peter-carter-weddings.html?_r=1&ref=weddings

The wedding was Saturday night and it was beautiful.

Bride looked gorgeous...

Groom looked handsome.

Together they look like something out of a catalog.

Their God-son Bubba had his own little tux...

And their twin nieces who are 1/4 Korean are a good indication of how ridiculously beautiful their own kids are going to be.

I saw this staircase the day before when I was scouting this location and thought it'd be a cool shot. Turns out I was right.

Peter had 3 best men.

And about 1,000 groomsmen.

(He's really close to his man-friends.)

Peter cried at the altar when Michelle walked in. It made everyone else cry.

Pretty.

Pretty people have pretty friends and family. And this party was no exception. Usually I photoshop my pics a lot. I didn't need to with this bunch.

The twins had a little bed set up for them in the corner and would nap and then dance around like maniacs and then nap again. It was adorable.

At one point a munchkin lady jumped out of the shadows and attacked partygoers.

Beautiful fun night!

Congratulations!
