RachMarried: Rachael & Rob's Wedding

Rachael & Rob's long-anticipated wedding day had finally arrived.

And so had the torrential downpour.

There was a slight break in the rain...and we ran outside to take some pretty photos of everyone in their wedding day finest.

Everyone was ready and we sat around doing a power hour, waiting for our shuttle bus to arrive.

Waited. And waited. And waited.

At about 20 minutes to weddingtime we started getting worried and, after hearing from friends at other hotels who also had not yet been picked up, decided to take drastic measures and call the groom who, surprisingly, had his cell phone on him and was very helpful.

We called the shuttle company and found out that they had no idea there were supposed to pick us up. We called cabs but there were none available for at least half an hour.

So we bit the bullet and hopped in the car.

(Not the ideal choice, especially after a power half-hour...but it was RACHAEL'S WEDDING. And we lived to tell about it. So phew...)

Due to the rain, the ceremony, which probably would have taken place outside, was moved inside, so it was standing room only and I was frazzled and sweating profusely. (This is my excuse for failing to capture epic pro-photos.)

We arrived just in time to see vows exchanged.

And then they were married.

Rachael was a most beautiful bride.

And my picture made for a most beautiful centerpiece.

I love weddings because everyone (including Chrispy) looks their prettiest!

Also everything is wrapped in bacon.

Deerfield representation was at an all-time high.

And after a few cocktails, the first dance commenced almost immediately.

Rachael and Rob did their rounds and spread joy everywhere they went.

My goat-cheesey salad was delectable.

And dinner within the gorgeous Glen Manor house, was very classically New England.

Chloe was seated with Team Deerfield.

And our house had its own table.

Dinner was a pan-seared beef tenderloin topped with caramelized onion laced with gorgonzola...and a roasted red pepper risotto cake.

TL was so excited for food that she immediately dropped an asparagi on her pretty new partydress.

More fun and mingling followed...

Followed by cake-cutting.

And dancing.

And then it came time for the obligatory Deerfield picture.

I am not exaggerating when I say Team Deerfield was out in full-force.

After the party was the afterparty at Tickets Lounge...

We kind of lounged around and watched footballs.

And then we headed back to our beautiful rental home for a late night afterparty.

Abby somehow ended up handcuffed to a chair...

And because of the rain we had far fewer guests than we had expected....though twelve people making it through three cases of beer is quite an admirable feat...

3am found us eating chicken parms...

And rubbing free perfume samples on ourselves.

Congratulations Rach and Rob!
